Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Community Manager who supports the Community Manager and steps in when needed. You will help with leasing, marketing, and resident relations while maintaining financial records and property operations.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a willingness to engage with residents, vendors, and staff in a fast-paced community environment.

Qualifications

• Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English to effectively interact with team members, residents, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Apartment management experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing advertising materials.
• Assist in showing units and screening applicants.
• Maintain records of rental levels of comparable units in the surrounding area.
• Present creative leasing and marketing ideas.
• Maintain courteous communication with residents, applicants, and representatives of other companies.
• Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria.
• Have the prospect complete the application and secure a deposit.
• Update availability report and process applications for approvals.
• Assist in monitoring renewals and distribute renewal notices.
• Professionally represent the company at all times.
• Accept rental payments and relay to Community Manager.
• Type leases and input information on property management software (Yardi) accurately.
• Assist management with other tasks and enforce community policies.
• Prepare and maintain resident files and notices to pay rent.
• Assist with lease preparation, signing, and administration.
• Communicate with Community Manager about invoices and approvals.
• Ensure maintenance requests are handled promptly and residents informed.
• Maintain open communication with the Community Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
• Contribute to cleanliness and curb appeal of the community.
