Job summary

Cardinal Group Companies is seeking a Leasing Community Intern to deliver outstanding customer service and support our residents. You will collaborate with team members to maintain occupancy, demonstrate Cardinal’s leasing standards, and process lease paperwork with attention to detail.

This temporary, non-exempt internship requires evening and weekend availability, front desk duties, and participation in ongoing training. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 40 lbs are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Enrollment in a degree program with a minimum of 6 credit hours.
• At least one year completed at the enrolled college/university.
• Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA; annual verification.
• Must be a current or future leaseholder of the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents.
• Perform Administrative Front Desk tasks and duties.
• Participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing (CWoL) training.
• Greet prospective clients and answer leasing calls.
• Present the community and apartment homes professionally.
• Complete lease applications and related paperwork.
• Pass third party leasing shops and become Cardinal Way of Leasing certified.
• Maintain accurate lease file documentation and assist with audits.
• Keep tour paths clean for strong first impressions.
• Demonstrate a positive, professional attitude with residents, staff and vendors.
• Assist with planning community events and other projects as assigned.
• Participate in Cardinal U training as required.
• On-call responsibilities for lock-outs and nightly rounds; schedule includes evenings and weekends.
