Job summary

Cardinal Group in Lincoln, NE seeks a Leasing Community Intern (Temporary, Non-Exempt) to deliver high quality customer service and help drive occupancy. The role requires flexibility for evenings and weekends, and a 20‑hour weekly schedule at the community location.

You will learn Cardinal Way of Leasing, complete lease paperwork, and support community events while upholding Cardinal values and providing professional tenant interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in a degree program with a minimum of 6 credits.
• Must have completed a minimum of one year at the enrolled college.
• Must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA; annual verification.
• Must be a current or future leaseholder of the community.
• Must live on designated community floor as assigned.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Available to work approximately 20 hours per week; evenings and weekends.
• Ability to embody Cardinal Culture and Core Values daily.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for customer service; exceed expectations.
• Administrative front desk tasks and duties.
• Participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing training.
• Engage with prospective clients and present the community.
• Complete lease applications and lease file paperwork.
• Maintain lease file documentation and participate in audits.
• Ensure clean tour path and positive first impression.
• Support planning of community events and other projects.
• Take on on-call responsibilities and evening/weekend shifts.
