Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accounting Accountant to manage ASC 842 schedules and end-to-end lease accounting processes. The role focuses on journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance investigations while supporting internal/external audits and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• At least one year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lease accounting schedules per ASC 842.
• Develop understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes and controls.
• Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Support internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Complete special projects and analyses for department leadership.
• Monitor FASB, SEC, and PCAOB standards and assess impact.
