Job summary

Cable One is seeking a dedicated accounting professional to maintain lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842 and to support general ledger processes. The role involves deep-dives into lease accounting end-to-end, journal entries, and ongoing internal controls.

The candidate will participate in weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses, assist in audit activities including SOX, and take on special projects as directed by leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting required.
• Minimum of one year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops detailed understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries for lease accounting.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances promptly.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as requested by department leadership.
