Job summary

Cable One is seeking a detail-oriented Lease Accounting Accountant to maintain ASC 842 schedules and end-to-end lease accounting processes. This role supports journal entries, reconciliations, and internal controls in a corporate accounting environment.

You will partner with internal stakeholders, assist with audits including SOX, and contribute to special projects while staying current on FASB/SEC/PCAOB disclosures. Remote work options available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting with at least 1 year of practical ledger experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops end-to-end lease accounting processes including related stakeholders and systems.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Executes special projects and analyses as requested by leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB, SEC and PCAOB standards affecting accounting practices.
