Job summary

Cable One is seeking a detail-oriented Lease Accountant to manage ASC 842 lease accounting, reconcile ledgers, and support audit activities. The role emphasizes end-to-end process understanding, internal controls, and staying current with accounting standards.

The candidate will collaborate with stakeholders across finance and reporting teams to ensure accurate financial disclosures and timely analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting.
• Minimum 1 year general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules per ASC 842.
• Understands end-to-end lease accounting processes and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports SOX and internal/external audit activities.
• Completes special projects as directed by leadership.
• Monitors FASB/SEC/PCAOB accounting standards and communicates impacts.
