Job summary

IHMVCU is seeking a Learning and Development Specialist to lead onboarding and ongoing employee training. You will design and deliver training across in-person and virtual formats, build materials for sales, service, and credit union concepts, and continually improve learning programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of training experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of training methods including needs assessment and instruction design for various modalities.
• Knowledge of learning theories including adult learning.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general tech.
• Experience with blended learning and eLearning tools preferred.
• Flexible, adaptable with leadership potential.
• Enthusiastic about adult learning.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and present training sessions in person and virtually.
• Design up-to-date training materials for sales, service, and credit union topics.
• Survey and identify needs for ongoing organizational development.
• Update stakeholders on learning progress and priorities.
• Manage the company-wide Learning Management System.
• Translate business needs into effective learning solutions.
• Assist in developing and implementing new/updated operations.
