Job summary

Dover Food Retail seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer in Centerville, IA. The role focuses on driving measurable improvements across operations and support functions.

You will coach lean capabilities, co-own site initiatives, and foster a culture of Kaizen and data-driven problem solving within a cross-functional team. The position reports to the factory CI Leader and requires strong experience in Lean fundamentals, project management, and change management.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
• Strong Lean knowledge with TPS/Lean fundamentals (5S, Kaizen, DM, VSM).
• Experience leading Kaizen events and Kaizen Promotion Office activities is a plus.
• Cross-functional experience across Operations / Supply Chain / Finance.
• 2+ years of project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Coach teams to identify and reduce waste.
• Lead cross-functional teams on lean initiatives and problem solving.
• Utilize data-driven decision making for CI actions.
• Facilitate lean conversions and site upgrades.
• Develop and train staff in lean tools and methods.
• Organize Kaizen events and related logistics.
• Prepare business cases and assess financial impact of CI actions.
• Collaborate with Dover Enterprise teams.
