Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Richmond, VA seeks a Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive sustainable improvements across operations. You will co-own the strategy, lead Kaizen events, and coach lean capabilities within the organization.

You will design, implement, and revise manufacturing processes, ensuring SQDIP metrics alignment and a focus on one-piece flow and JIT principles. This role reports to the factory CI Leader and collaborates across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering.
• 4+ year experience in Continuous Improvement or CI roles.
• 2+ year project management experience.
• Lean/Six Sigma knowledge and application.
• Experience with CAD software like SolidWorks/ AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Deploy SQDIP visual management boards and standard routines at all levels.
• Coach and embed Lean principles in daily operations; train on 0DOVER model.
• Lead Kaizen events and value stream mapping with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze production processes and provide reports on future requirements.
• Develop and integrate SAP/Oracle ERP-related workflows and labor costs.
