Job summary
Dover Food Retail is seeking a Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive measurable improvements across operations and support functions from Richmond, VA. You will co-own the CI strategy, coach lean capabilities, and lead Kaizen and rapid improvement events to optimize manufacturing and logistics performance.
The role emphasizes SQDIP, TPS/Lean, and ERP familiarity while building dashboards and reporting ROI with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Four-year degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 3-7 years of Continuous Improvement experience.
- 2+ years of Project Management experience.
- Proficiency in Lean and Six Sigma principles.
- CAD proficiency: SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle).
Responsibilities
- Deploy SQDIP visual management boards across all levels.
- Champion the 0Dover OPEX Model and lean daily operations.
- Lead Kaizen events, value stream mapping and structured problem solving.
- Ensure manufacturing and logistics processes are integrated.
- Develop production plans, PFMEAs and Control Plans.
- Build KPI dashboards and reports (Power BI or similar).
- Collaborate with OT teams (MEs, tooling, controls).
