Job summary

BJ's Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Club Manager in Training (AMIT) to lead daily operations across assigned departments, develop talent, and ensure Gold Standard execution.

The trainee will work toward impacting Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience with focused development and certification tracks. You will support the Club Manager, oversee staffing and safety, and drive member engagement while preparing for a leadership role with responsibilities across club

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations management.
• Excellent communication and ability to lead large teams.
• Strong drive for results and solid work ethic.
• Ability to supervise cross-functional teams and drive performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic department leadership across assigned departments (Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience).
• Recruit, hire, and onboard team members.
• Oversee labor planning and scheduling to align with budget and trends.
• Drive sales, inventory control, and shrink management to meet targets.
• Ensure compliance and safety; lead internal audits and training.
