Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an Assistant Club Manager in Training (AMIT) to lead departments, develop talent, and drive club performance. You will oversee daily operations, ensure policy execution, and maintain GOLD standards while preparing for advancement into a senior management track.

The role requires strong leadership, audit/operational readiness, and the ability to onboard and certify staff with ServSafe and forklift qualifications.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations manager.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of store operations, membership, front-line, gas station, maintenance, receiving, and omni procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic department leadership and oversee daily operations across assigned departments, emphasizing business acumen and accountability.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard team members; manage staffing decisions and certifications.
• Oversee labor planning and scheduling aligned with sales trends and budgets.
• Drive sales, inventory control, and shrink management while ensuring premium customer experience.
• Champion Member Experience Standards (GAA, GOLD, LAST) across departments.
