Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Wireless Telecommunications Subject Matter Expert to provide technical leadership across multiple projects in the United States. You will oversee designs for DAS, Wi‑Fi, Private LTE/5G, and related systems, working with clients and vendors, and guiding teams to ensure quality and compliance.

The role emphasizes review of designs in iBwave/EDX, coordination with BIM, and mentoring junior engineers, with a hybrid work model across US offices and remote locations.

Qualifications

• Technical or associate's degree from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years' experience actively designing wireless telecommunications systems (LMR, DAS, Wi‑Fi, Private LTE/5G).
• Experience reviewing iBwave, EDX, Atoll, LMR Planner or similar RF modeling tools.
• Experience as technical lead or SME; able to mentor engineers.
• Experience working with clients to identify wireless needs and respond to RFPs/RFIs.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and approving wireless systems designs in iBwave and EDX.
• Provide technical leadership for wireless telecom designs with project teams.
• Coordinate with BIM designers to create drawing packages.
• Coordinate with AHJs, Radio System Owners and Carriers.
• Develop and maintain wireless design standards and best practices.
• Support commissioning, testing and troubleshooting activities.
• Mentor engineers and project leads.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders and help with proposals.
