Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Wireless Telecommunications Subject Matter Expert to lead design efforts for DAS, LMR, Wi‑Fi, and Private LTE/5G across multiple data center projects. You will guide engineering teams, coordinate with BIM, and mentor staff while ensuring quality and compliance.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in wireless design, SME experience, and proficiency with iBwave/EDX and RF tools. The role supports a hybrid work policy across U.S. locations.

Qualifications

• Technical or associate's degree from an accredited institution.
• 10+/- years' experience designing wireless telecommunications systems (LMR, DAS, Wi‑Fi, Private LTE/5G).
• Experience reviewing iBwave, EDX, Atoll, LMR Planner or similar RF modeling tools.
• Experience as a technical lead or SME.
• Experience with clients to identify wireless needs and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve wireless system designs in iBwave and EDX.
• Provide technical leadership for wireless designs and coordination with BIM.
• Coordinate with AHJs, System Owners, carriers.
• Develop and maintain design standards and best practices.
• Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Mentor engineers and project leads; manage stakeholder relationships.
• Support RFP/RFI responses and proposal development.
• Evaluate emerging wireless technologies and solutions.
