Job summary

Leigh & Co. Events is a fast-growing wedding planning company seeking a Lead Wedding Coordinator in West Virginia for the 2026 season and beyond. This contract role offers flexible scheduling and onsite work, with training provided. Pay is $275 for a total of 10-12 hours per project, paid per project, as we execute weddings nationwide.

You will lead planning on-site, coordinate with client experience managers and assistants, and ensure flawless execution from setup to breakdown.

Qualifications

2 years of experience as a wedding planner or event planner.
Must have strong communication skills and be detail oriented.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to carry and lift 30 lbs.
Ability to work weekends is essential.

Responsibilities

Attend a final details call with clients ~6 weeks before the wedding to confirm logistics, timeline, and expectations.
Lead and facilitate the ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding.
Serve as the primary onsite advocate for the couple, maintaining calm, solutions-focused support.
Oversee ceremony and reception setup in line with the design and execution playbook.
Manage full wedding day from vendor arrival to final breakdown.
Greet, direct, and be the main contact for all vendors.
Communicate setup instructions to vendors to align with the event plan.
Coordinate placement of escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, guest book, and décor.
Support wedding party and family with guidance and timing cues.
Ensure end-of-event items are packed and accounted for.
Proactively manage last-minute changes to maintain guest experience.
