Job summary

Leigh & Co. Events is seeking Lead Wedding Coordinators for our 2026 season and beyond. This on-site, contractrole offers flexible scheduling with training provided. Compensation is $400 per wedding project (approximately 10–12 hours) paid per project, with weekends required.

As lead planner, you will supervise wedding day execution, coordinate with clients and vendors, and ensure a seamless, joyful experience from setup to breakdown.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of experience as a wedding planner or event planner.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Ability to carry and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to work weekends is essential.

Responsibilities

• Attend a final details call with clients ~6 weeks prior to the wedding to confirm logistics, timeline, and expectations.
• Lead and facilitate the ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding, ensuring timing and cues.
• Serve as the primary on-site advocate for the couple, maintaining calm and solutions focus.
• Oversee ceremony and reception setup aligned with design and playbook.
• Manage full wedding day execution from vendor arrival to final breakdown.
• Greet and direct vendors; communicate setup instructions to ensure alignment with the plan.
• Coordinate placement of escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, guest book, and décor.
• Support the wedding party and family with timing cues and on-day needs.
• Ensure end-of-event items are packed and accounted for.
• Proactively manage and resolve last-minute changes for a smooth guest experience.
• Ability to work weekends is essential.
