Leigh & Co. Events is seeking a Lead Wedding Coordinator for onsite client services nationwide, focusing on West Virginia. This contract role offers flexible scheduling and training, with pay of $275 per project for 10-12 hours. Join us for the 2026 season and beyond.

You will lead the wedding day, coordinate with vendors and family, and ensure flawless execution from details to final breakdown.

Qualifications

Must have 2 years experience as a wedding planner or event planner.
Must have strong communication skills and be detail oriented.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to carry and lift 30 lbs.
Ability to work weekends is essential.

Responsibilities

Attend a final details call with clients to confirm logistics, timeline and expectations.
Lead and facilitate the ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding.
Serve as the primary onsite advocate for the couple and provide calm, solutions-focused support.
Oversee ceremony and reception setup in line with the design and playbook.
Manage full wedding day execution from vendor arrival to breakdown.
Greet and direct vendors, acting as main contact.
Communicate setup instructions to vendors to align with the event plan.
Coordinate placement of escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors and décor.
Support wedding party with timing, cues and day-of needs.
Ensure gifts, guest book and decor are packed and accounted for.
Proactively resolve last-minute changes to maintain guest experience.
