Job summary

Leigh & Co. Events seeks a Lead Wedding Coordinator to provide onsite wedding planning services for engaged couples. You will act as the lead planner alongside our client experience managers and onsite coordinators to execute weddings according to the design and playbook.

The role is a contract position with a flexible schedule; training is provided. Prior wedding/event planning experience is required, with strong communication, reliability, and physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a wedding planner or event planner.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Must have reliable transportation and ability to lift 30 lbs.
• Ability to work weekends and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Attend a final details call with clients 4–6 weeks before the wedding to confirm logistics, timeline, and expectations.
• Lead and facilitate the ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding, ensuring timing and cues.
• Serve as primary on-site advocate for the couple, maintaining calm, solutions-focused presence.
• Oversee ceremony and reception setup in alignment with design and playbook.
• Manage full wedding day execution from vendor arrival to breakdown.
• Greet and direct vendors; be the main point of contact.
• Communicate setup instructions to vendors to align with event plan.
• Coordinate placement of escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, guest book, and décor.
• Support wedding party and family with guidance and timing cues.
• Ensure end-of-event items are packed and accounted for
• Proactively manage last-minute changes to maintain a smooth guest experience
• Ability to work weekends is essential
• Must have 2 years experience as a wedding planner or event planner
• Must have strong communication skills and be detail oriented
• Must be able to carry and lift 30 lbs.
