Job summary

Leigh & Co. Events is seeking a Lead Wedding Coordinator for the 2026 season. This onsite, lead-planner role involves managing weddings from setup to breakdown, serving as the primary contact for vendors and couples, and coordinating with event-design playbooks.

Training is provided and you can pick your own schedule as a contract employee. Weekend availability is essential to accommodate weddings and events.

Qualifications

Must have 2 years experience as a wedding planner or event planner.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Reliable transportation required and ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Weekend availability essential.

Responsibilities

Attend a final details call with clients 4–6 weeks prior to the wedding to confirm logistics, timeline and expectations.
Lead ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding, guiding timing and cues.
Serve as primary onsite advocate for the couple, staying calm and solutions-focused.
Oversee ceremony and reception setup in line with design and playbook.
Manage full wedding day execution from vendor arrival to breakdown.
Greet and direct vendors; be main point of contact for all vendors.
Communicate setup instructions to vendors to align with the event plan.
Coordinate placement of escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, guest book and décor.
Support wedding party and family with timing cues and day-of needs.
Ensure end-of-event items are packed and accounted for; resolve last-minute changes.
