Job summary

Leigh & Co. Events is seeking a Lead Wedding Coordinator to join the 2026 season and beyond. This contract role offers a flexible schedule and training provided, with pay per project ($400 total for 10–12 hours).

The lead planner will coordinate weddings onsite, working with client experience managers and assistants to execute events from setup to breakdown, while maintaining calm, problem-solving support for couples.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years experience as a wedding planner or event planner.
• Must have strong communication skills and be detail oriented.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to carry and lift 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Attend final details calls with clients 4–6 weeks before the wedding to confirm logistics and timeline.
• Lead the ceremony rehearsal and ensure participants are confident with cues and flow.
• Serve as onsite primary contact for the couple, remaining calm and solution-focused.
• Oversee ceremony and reception setup aligned with the design and playbook.
• Manage wedding day execution from vendor arrival to breakdown.
• Greet, direct, and coordinate with all vendors on the day.
• Communicate setup instructions to vendors to match the event plan.
• Assist with placement of escort cards, menus, and décor details.
• Support the wedding party with timing cues and day-of needs.
• Ensure gifts, guest book, and decor are packed and accounted for.
• Proactively resolve issues to maintain a smooth guest experience.
• Weekend availability is essential.
