Job summary

Leigh & Co. Events is seeking a Lead Wedding Coordinator to deliver wedding planning services onsite for engaged couples. The role is contract-based with flexible scheduling and training provided. Pay is $400 per project, for about 10–12 hours of work, with opportunities for the 2026 season and beyond.

You will lead planning, manage day-of execution, coordinate vendors, and ensure a calm, client-focused experience from arrival to breakdown.

Qualifications

Must have 2 years experience as a wedding planner or event planner.
Must have strong communication skills and be detail oriented.
Must be able to carry and lift 30 lbs and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Attend a final details call with clients ~4–6 weeks before the wedding.
Lead and facilitate the ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding.
Serve as the primary advocate for the couple onsite and stay solutions-focused.
Oversee ceremony and reception setup in alignment with design and playbook.
Manage full wedding day execution from vendor arrival to breakdown.
Greet, direct, and be the main contact for all vendors.
Communicate setup instructions clearly to vendors to align with the plan.
Coordinate placement of escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, guest book, and décor.
Support the wedding party and family with guidance and timing cues.
Ensure end-of-event items are packed and accounted for.
Proactively manage last-minute changes to maintain guest experience.
Ability to work weekends is essential.
