Job summary

BELFOR is seeking an intermediate Water Damage Specialist to lead the water damage team for residential and small commercial losses. You will apply IICRC standards, supervise up to 10 technicians, and manage moisture assessments using specialized equipment.

The role requires knowledge of water and mold remediation, field documentation, and strong customer service. Expect travel, night shifts, and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of IICRC S500 Water Damage Standard.
• Must have working knowledge of IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standard.
• Carry current IICRC WRT designation.
• Be familiar with BELFOR Water Damage Book and procedures.
• Demonstrate proper use of meters and IR camera for moisture assessment.
• Able to draw sketches, read floor plans, and maintain moisture/content logs.
• Experience supervising small crews (up to 10 people) on losses.
• Fluent English and strong customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Direct teams in using appropriate PPE and water damage techniques.
• Review project requirements, document progress, and report challenges to managers.
• Provide field documentation, photos, charts, and sketches for projects.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks and maintain equipment in good condition.
• Ensure adherence to BELFOR standards and safety rules on site.
• Travel and occasional night/weekend work may be required.
• Attend operations and safety trainings as required.
