Job summary

KeHE Distributors, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Romeoville, IL, to lead a 25-28 person team and ensure safe, efficient operations across receiving, picking, packing, and shipping. You will drive KPIs, coach employees, and foster a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities include implementing Lean improvements, maintaining accuracy, and promoting continuous development while ensuring compliance with safety policies and company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks.
• Strong computer skills, including experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including various shifts, weekends, overtime, and holidays to support warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of 25-28 Warehouse Associates, ensuring they have the tools, support, and knowledge to meet and exceed performance expectations.
• Set clear, achievable performance goals using KPIs such as productivity, order accuracy, safety, and cleanliness to drive results while fostering a culture of mutual respect and high engagement.
• Provide real-time coaching, guidance, and feedback, always reinforcing a positive, collaborative work environment where team members feel valued and supported.
• Inspire individual growth and career development by promoting skill enhancement and fostering a culture of continuous improvement that celebrates both individual and team achievements.
• Recognize and celebrate outstanding performance, motivating the team to perform at their highest potential and creating a positive and respectful work environment.
• Lead by example in creating and reinforcing a safety-first culture, always ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits, providing training and implementing corrective actions where needed to prevent injuries and improve safety standards.
• Hold the team accountable for maintaining a safe, compliant, and productive work environment, where safety is viewed as a shared responsibility and a core value of daily operations.
• Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, inventory management, continuously optimizing workflows to drive productivity and minimize bottlenecks.
• Apply LEAN methodologies and continuous improvement practices to identify opportunities for process improvement, reduce waste, and ensure operations remain efficient, accurate, and aligned with team objectives.
• Collaborate with peers and leadership to implement improvements based on feedback, performance reviews, and observed inefficiencies, always striving for better results and greater accuracy.
