Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking an Experienced Lead Engineer Technician to upgrade the video management system (VMS) at DoD facilities worldwide.

You will live anywhere in the United States and travel up to 90% (up to four months at a time) with travel expenses covered and per diem. You will lead the team in setting up, configuring, testing, and supporting the VMS, collaborating closely with engineers and the customer to ensure mission success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; or HS diploma/GED with 8 years in lieu of degree.
• 4+ years in technical and leadership roles relevant to VMS/server equipment.
• Experience with VMS and/or server equipment installations and rack systems.
• Experience in installing rack equipment, cable conveyance, and peripheral gear.

Responsibilities

• Lead VMS server hardware/software setup and configuration on-site per documented standards.
• Conduct VMS testing and diagnose/resolve issues for end points.
• Provide on-site customer training on the VMS.
• Act as primary customer liaison to ensure exceptional satisfaction.
• Maintain schedule, status reports, and time/expense documentation.
• Mentor mid-level technicians and guide on-site team activities.
• Follow standard procedures for VMS setup and commissioning.
• Gather engineering data and ensure tests meet acceptance criteria.
