Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks an Engineering Technician to support worldwide CCTV system installation, integration, and configuration for DoD Army facilities. You will install, configure, and test CCTV hardware in server racks, run low-voltage cabling, and ensure quality and safety standards on site.

This role is primarily field-based with extensive travel; up to 90% travel expected, four months on the road at a time, with a home base in the US. Background checks and a CAC/card access are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearances.
• Travel up to 90% of the time, four months at a time.
• 2 years in VMS and/or working with server equipment.
• At least 1 year installing rack equipment and cable management.
• Knowledge of CCTV, networking, and security wiring.
• Ability to lift 75–100 lbs and work at heights.
• Pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Install, connect and configure CCTV equipment in server racks and troubleshoot.
• Mount cameras, configure recording devices, and test operation.
• Run and route low-voltage cables through walls, ceilings, and conduits.
• Terminate network cables with RJ45 and patch panels; test connections.
• Read blueprints and site layouts; complete installation reports.
• Maintain neat cable management and follow safety standards.
