Job summary

Serco is seeking an Experienced Lead Engineer Technician to upgrade and support the Video Management System (VMS) at DoD facilities worldwide. You will lead server hardware/software setup on-site and work with a team to configure, test, and document the VMS across locations.

The role requires strong VMS and server experience, plus the ability to travel up to 90% (CONUS and OCONUS) and obtain necessary security clearances. You will mentor mid-level technicians and ensure project schedules are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; technical leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience with video management systems (VMS) and server hardware installation.
  • Ability to install, configure and test VMS at DoD facilities.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software components.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 90% and obtain security clearances.

Responsibilities

  • Lead server hardware and software setup and configuration of the VMS on-site.
  • Conduct VMS testing and validation with customers.
  • Assemble, cable, terminate and rack equipment per standards.
  • Ensure cable management and proper electrical connections.
  • Provide on-site customer training for the VMS.
