Job summary

Serco invites an Experienced Lead Engineer Technician to join a team upgrading the video management system (VMS) at DoD facilities worldwide. The role offers extensive travel (up to 90%), with expenses covered and per diem, and opportunities to impact mission-critical operations for US Army IMCOM.

You will collaborate with mid-level engineers and project leaders to configure VMS, install rack equipment, and provide on-site training. US citizenship and CAC access are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with video management systems (VMS) setup, testing and calibration.
• Ability to read technical drawings and install server rack equipment.
• Experience providing on-site training and customer liaison.

Responsibilities

• Lead the server hardware and software setup/installation and configuration of the VMS on-site per documented standards.
• Conduct testing on the VMS and resolve issues related to end points.
• Ensure cable management and proper CAT6 termination per standards.
• Provide on-site training to customers and act as primary liaison for satisfaction.
• Manage daily status reporting, timekeeping, and expense reporting to the project lead.
• Mentor mid-level technicians and direct on-site team activities.
