Job summary

Blue Bird Corporation is seeking an Lead Electrical Architecture Engineer to define and implement the electrical backbone for next‑generation commercial vehicle platforms. You will own power distribution, wiring topology, and interfaces, ensuring integration across systems and manufacturability.

The role provides technical leadership to internal teams, suppliers, and external partners, driving architecture decisions from concept through production launch in a high‑impact environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 8+ years of experience developing electrical architectures and vehicle electrical systems.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident with eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the vehicle electrical architecture, including power distribution and wiring topology.
• Develop CAN/J1939, LIN, Automotive Ethernet networks for propulsion and control systems.
• Lead high- and low-voltage integration including batteries, inverters, and charging systems.
• Define electrical interfaces, connectors, and integration requirements with suppliers.
• Define wiring harness architecture and serviceability requirements.
• Provide technical leadership across internal teams, suppliers, and external partners.
