Job summary

Blue Bird Corporation is seeking a Lead Electrical Architecture Engineer to define and implement the electrical backbone for next-generation school buses. You will own power distribution, wiring topology, and network architectures while guiding cross-functional teams through concept-to-production launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• 8+ years of experience developing electrical architectures and integration for automotive/commercial vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the vehicle electrical architecture, including power distribution and wiring topology.
• Develop CAN, J1939, LIN, Automotive Ethernet networks and data mappings for vehicle systems.
• Lead HV and LV integration, including batteries, inverters, DC/DC converters, and charging systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production-ready architecture and launch readiness.
• Provide technical direction to suppliers and external partners while maintaining design quality.
