Job summary

Blue Bird Corporation is seeking a Senior Integration & Vehicle Architecture Engineer to own vehicle architecture across platforms, guiding design, interfaces, and system-level decisions from concept through production. The role requires autonomous leadership and collaboration with chassis, body, powertrain, and electrical teams to optimize performance, cost, and serviceability.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in automotive manufacturing, a BS in a relevant field, and proficiency in CATIA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, automotive, or systems engineering.
• 5+ years in automotive or commercial vehicle manufacturing with a focus on product design or component packaging.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Responsibilities

• Define and own vehicle architecture from a blank slate, establishing system boundaries and interfaces.
• Lead integration from prototype to production, driving cross‑functional alignment and issue resolution.
• Work with external Tier 1s, vendors, and suppliers to ensure system compatibility and scalable designs.
