Job summary

Blue Bird Corporation is seeking a Senior Vehicle Controls Integration Engineer to own the integration of intelligent vehicle control systems across a new commercial chassis platform from concept through production launch.

The role serves as the technical authority for vehicle controls integration, embedded electronic systems, sensors, actuators, and electromechanical interfaces while ensuring seamless hardware-software integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience developing embedded vehicle controls, electronic systems or intelligent vehicle technologies.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident with work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own vehicle controls architecture for embedded controllers and actuators.
• Lead integration of electrical, software and mechanical systems for production readiness.
• Develop system requirements, ICDs, interfaces and functional interactions.
• Define control strategies, diagnostics, fault management and system behaviors.
• Provide technical direction to suppliers and external partners.
