Blue Bird Corporation is seeking a Senior Requirements & Systems Engineer to define the system-level architecture and requirements for complex vehicle platforms. You will translate customer needs into executable engineering frameworks and lead cross-functional teams to drive development through prototype builds to production launch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in automotive, mechanical or systems engineering is required.
• 4+ years hands-on automotive systems development, integration, and validation.
• 3+ years in vehicle architecture, integration, or chassis systems.

Responsibilities

• Define vehicle-level architecture through requirements development and interfaces.
• Create and manage product and system requirements across programs.
• Develop and own Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for multiple subsystems.
• Drive cross-system integration across mechanical, electrical, software, and controls.
• Maintain traceability between customer needs and vehicle requirements.
• Lead trade-off discussions on performance, weight, cost, and schedule.
• Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
