Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC seeks a Trimmer/Climber Foreperson to lead daily crew operations, coordinate tasks with management, and enforce safety programs on job sites. You will mentor staff, conduct training, and manage customer relations while ensuring efficient, compliant field work.

Requirements include strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, plus the ability to operate safely at heights and drive company vehicles. Union dues apply per contract.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Possess organization skills and be able to multi-task.
• Capable of adjusting to field requirements and take independent action without close supervision.
• Able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and operate at heights around 300 pounds maximum.
• Willing to pay union dues.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Supervisor.
• Conducts field training/retraining and instructs crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policies and conducts safety training.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Maintains good customer relations through effective completion of assigned work.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and reports related to crew performance.
• Controls crew costs and optimizes use of people, methods, and equipment.
• Furnishes orders completed reports and related documentation to supervisors.
• Sets up barriers and safeguards to protect workers and the public.
• Performs Trimmer/Climber tasks as required.
