Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber Crew Foreperson to supervise daily operations, coordinate crew work, and enforce safety protocols on job sites in Minnesota. You will train crew members, manage field issues, and ensure timely completion of assignments with a focus on customer satisfaction and adherence to safety standards.

The role requires strong leadership, the ability to read job drawings, and hands-on supervision of tree-trimming tasks while maintaining regulatory

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Understand drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Possess organization skills and be able to multi-task.
• Capable of adjusting to field requirements and take independent action without close supervision.
• Able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Due to equipment capacity, weight should not exceed ~300 pounds.
• No fear of heights.
• Willing to pay union dues.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Supervisor.
• Conducts field training and retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per policy and OSHA standards with safety training.
• Discusses access, power interruption, and work with property owners; refers complex cases to the General Foreperson.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Maintains good customer relations through effective completion of assigned work and crew conduct.
• Investigates incidents and minor damage claims as needed.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and crew operation reports.
• Controls crew costs and efficient use of resources.
• Furnishes reports of orders completed and incidents to Supervisors.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments for safety.
• Sets up barriers and safety measures to protect workers and the public.
• Inspects and arranges repairs for tools, trucks, and equipment.
