Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC seeks a Trimmer/Climber Foreperson to lead daily crew operations, ensure safety, coordinate with management, and mentor staff. You’ll train crews, enforce OSHA standards, and coordinate with property owners to secure access for tree work.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and field experience, with full‑time, non‑exempt status and hourly pay. Company provides tools and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Understand drawings and symbols for lines and equipment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Organizational skills; multi-task capability.
• Independent action with minimal supervision.
• Able to drive an approved company vehicle.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Weight limit around 300 pounds due to equipment.
• No fear of heights.
• Willing to pay union dues.

Responsibilities

• Plans and assigns daily crew work after orders.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crew.
• Enforces safety practices per policy and OSHA.
• Communicates with property owners about access and work.
• Obtains permission to perform work.
• Maintains customer relations through quality work.
• Inventories reporting of orders, time and expenses.
• Controls crew costs and optimal use of resources.
• Keeps tools and vehicles in good condition.
• Follows safety and company policies at all times.
