Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC seeks a Trimmer/Climber Foreperson to lead daily crew operations, enforce safety, and coordinate with management on hiring needs and schedules. The role emphasizes field training, customer relations, and incident reporting in a physically demanding outdoor setting.

The incumbent will monitor safety, ensure proper documentation, and maintain equipment while supporting DOT and insurance requirements. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Understanding of drawings and symbols representing lines and voltages.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized in field conditions.
• Capable of independent action with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after orders from a General Foreperson/Supervisor.
• Conducts field training/retraining for crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per policy and OSHA guidelines and conducts safety training.
• Discusses issues with property owners and refers complex cases to the General Foreperson.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform work.
• Maintains good customer relations through effective completion of work.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and reports for crew operations.
• Controls crew costs through efficient use of people, methods, and equipment.
• Reports orders completed, units of work, and crew times to supervisors.
• Coordinates with customers, police, and fire departments for access and safety.
• Sets up barriers and safety measures to protect employees and the public.
• Inspects and arranges repairs for tools and equipment.
• Ensures DOT maintenance and inspection compliance for vehicles.
• Carries out Trimmer/Climber tasks as required.
