Job summary

Stantec seeks an experienced design engineer to lead urban mobility projects in the Minneapolis area. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team across Minnesota and beyond to deliver quality design for communities served, leveraging Stantec’s global resources and a passion for urban transportation.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with Transportation and Community Development teams, and apply your creativity to deliver safe and effective roadways using MicroStation/OpenRoads

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in roadway design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Minnesota.

Responsibilities

• Lead roadway design projects for cities, counties, and state DOTs.
• Collaborate with local offices and greater Stantec to share expertise and secure assistance.
• Stay abreast of market trends and client concerns and develop responsive solutions.
• Support an energetic and collaborative team culture that drives great results.
• Prepare design concepts, preliminary geometric layouts and final design construction plan sets.
• Perform CADD design of roadways in MicroStation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepare transportation related reports including design memos and feasibility studies.
• Mentor staff to develop each to their full potential.
• Client service, development, management and growth.
