Job summary

Consor is seeking a Transportation Design-Build Manager to lead complex highway, bridge, and transit projects from pursuit through closeout. You will connect design teams, construction personnel, clients, and stakeholders to keep scope, schedule, budget, and quality aligned.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, manage risks, and deliver updates while building strong partnerships with transportation agencies and clients.

Qualifications

• PE license required and 15+ years delivering transportation infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading large multi-discipline teams through all project phases.
• Strong knowledge of design-build delivery, contracts, and DOT processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation design-build projects through planning, design, procurement, construction, and closeout phases.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, constructors, subconsultants, and contractors.
• Serve as primary client contact, building relationships with transportation agencies and municipalities.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management activities.
• Direct design integration to ensure constructability and alignment with objectives.
• Collaborate with construction leadership to identify cost-saving and schedule-accelerating options.
• Facilitate coordination meetings and provide leadership during project execution.
• Monitor performance metrics and take corrective actions as needed.
• Lead pursuit activities: proposals, technical approaches, staffing, and interviews.
• Review contracts, manage changes, and avoid claims where possible.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and agency requirements.
• Mentor and develop project managers and design staff.
• Identify new design-build opportunities with business development.
