Job summary

Consor seeks an Engineering Designer to lead portions of complex transportation design projects in Texas, guiding teams and delivering constructible designs with strong technical judgment.

You will mentor junior designers, perform advanced calculations, and ensure deliverables meet client requirements while coordinating with project engineers and managers to maintain quality and schedule targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering is required.
• 2+ years of Texas transportation engineering design experience.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is required.
• Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer is desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of detailed design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
• Perform advanced design calculations and ensure compliance with applicable standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate design activities among multidisciplinary teams and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
• Assist project engineers and managers with quality control reviews, schedule tracking, and design deliverables.
