Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to lead high‑voltage overhead transmission projects up to 765kV. Remote work is available with offices across the Northeast, including New York and Syracuse areas.

Responsibilities include technical leadership, schedule management, client coordination, and staff mentorship. Requires 7–10 years in transmission, PE licensure, and strong English communication. Travel to client sites and offices may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and PE licensure.
• 7–10 years’ experience in transmission project design and leadership.
• Understanding of NESC, RUS, and GO-95.
• Strong command of English with good written and oral communication.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for planning, design, and delivery of high‑voltage overhead transmission lines up to 765kV.
• Lead project teams and coordinate across multi-disciplinary groups; manage schedules.
• Support PMs with scope, schedule, and budget; present to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure QA/QC adherence and participate in knowledge transfer across the organization.
• Travel to client offices, field sites, or facilities as needed.
