Job summary

WSP seeks a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to provide technical leadership for high-voltage overhead projects. You will guide planning, design, and delivery, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to ensure quality and on-time execution.

You will also mentor staff, support project management, and travel as needed within the Northeast region. A PE license and strong English communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years post-education experience in engineering and civil design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required (multi-state preferred).
• Understanding of the NESC, RUS, and GO-95.
• Strong command of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
• Create and maintain a project schedule.
• Lead project meetings and coordinate with clients.
• Ensure QA/QC adherence and safety standards.
• Mentor staff and lead project teams.
• Travel to client offices/field/vendor facilities as needed.
• Support PMs with scope, schedule, and budget.
