Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery Team. This role offers flexible work arrangements with the option to work remotely or from one of our offices across the Southeast region.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership for high‑voltage overhead transmission line projects, up to 765kV. Responsibilities include design, planning, client coordination, and staff mentorship, while ensuring QA/QC and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
5 to 7 years of relevant post education experience in engineering and prior civil design experience.
Engineer in Training Certification.
Understanding of the NESC, RUS, and/or GO-95.
Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation.
Candidate must have deep understanding with PLS-CADD.
Excellent written and verbal English communication.
Experience with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for planning, design, and delivery of high‑voltage transmission line projects (up to 765kV).
Lead project schedules, meetings, and coordination across multi-disciplinary teams.
Support PMs with scope, schedule, and budget for new projects.
Maintain project documentation and QA/QC compliance.
Travel to client offices/field/vendor facilities as needed.
