Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC (QISG) seeks a Supervising Engineer - Transmission Line to lead planning, design, permitting, construction support and project closeout for high voltage transmission projects.

You will supervise engineers and designers, manage budgets, ensure compliance with ANSI, NEC, NESC and other standards, and coordinate with regulators, contractors and stakeholders to deliver safe, reliable infrastructure on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in electric utility engineering or management for high voltage projects.
• B.S. or graduate degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• P.E. license required.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong technical expertise across structural, civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering; knowledge of utility standards.
• Familiarity with ANSI, ASTM, ACI, AISC, NEC, NESC codes and regulatory processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from inception to closeout, including planning, design, permitting, construction support, and closeout.
• Supervise engineers, designers, and staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Oversee engineering designs, specifications, and plans for utilities infrastructure (substations, transmission lines).
• Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards, including environmental and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and the public to ensure successful project delivery.
• Implement and oversee quality control procedures to ensure workmanship and materials.
