Job summary

Quanta-Services' QISG division seeks an Engineering Project Manager for Transmission Line projects. You will provide engineering expertise across the lifecycle and support field operations, procurement, and key stakeholders within Quanta while reporting to the Engineering Director.

The role entails technical lead duties from concept to closeout, collaboration with leadership, and driving improvements in processes and performance across transmission line projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in electric utility engineering or management for HV projects.
• Bachelor or graduate degree in engineering from ABET-accredited university; PE license preferred.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time and budget.
• Strong knowledge of structural, civil or electrical engineering principles and utility construction standards.
• Experience with project controls, scheduling, contracts and cross-discipline coordination.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and operations leadership on technical goals and oversee engineering work.
• Act as technical lead through conceptual to closeout phases, including site visits as needed.
• Manage performance of engineering service providers and review KPIs with senior leadership.
• Develop and implement engineering controls and quality assurance standards.
• Ensure internal docs and standards meet company and customer requirements.
• Lead staffing initiatives and plan resources to support growth.
• Mentor and oversee training for engineering staff.
• Support business development through client meetings and proposals.
• Drive innovation and efficiency in engineering processes and use new technologies.
