Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager – Transmission & Distribution to lead complex utility infrastructure projects from pursuit through closeout.

You will oversee transmission, distribution, and substation work, driving safety, schedule, and budget compliance while maintaining strong client and utility relationships. Ideal candidates bring 1–7+ years in T&D construction, familiarity with project management tools, and willingness to travel for long-term onsite assignments.

Qualifications

• 1–7+ years of construction project management experience in transmission, distribution, utility or electrical infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of T&D construction methods, sequencing, and project delivery
• Proven ability to manage scope, cost, schedule, and field execution
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through estimating, bidding, execution, and closeout phases
• Manage transmission, distribution, and substation construction activities
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, field leadership, and internal project teams
• Develop and maintain strong client and utility relationships
• Track and manage project costs, forecasts, schedules, and performance metrics
• Support project planning for transmission lines, distribution upgrades, and substation scopes
