Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Principal focused on Transaction Advisory Services to lead buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements across industries. You will work with firm leadership to serve clients, build the business, and mentor staff, driving growth and quality in advisory services.

You will guide engagements, develop client relationships, and contribute to the firm’s success by delivering strategic insights and hands-on leadership throughout the M&A lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; master's or advanced degree desirable.
• CPA/CFA credential a plus.
• 15+ years of transaction advisory experience in a professional services firm.
• Experience with merger & acquisitions and financial due diligence.
• Strong leadership, analytical, organization, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and supervise others and develop client relationships with private equity firms.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted leader of buy-side and sell-side due diligence/quality of engagement.
• Proactively engage with clients to understand business goals and objectives.
• Advise, implement and deliver solutions to clients related to all phases of the M&A lifecycle.
• Provide valuable guidance and business recommendations.
• Deliver business insights through review and discussion.
• Manage cross-functional teams to deliver engagements and ensure profitability targets.
• Network to build relationships with private equity firms for repeat business.
• Invest in professional development through firm programs.
• Support growth and development of team members.
