Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Principal focused on Transaction Advisory Services to lead buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements from start to finish. You will work side-by-side with firm leadership to serve clients and build the business, mentoring staff and developing their technical and professional skills.

You will have the opportunity to guide engagements, deliver insights, and expand relationships with private equity firms, portfolio companies, and other clients across industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; master’s or advanced degree desirable.
• CPA/CFA a plus.
• Fifteen (15+) years’ experience providing transaction advisory services in a professional services firm required.
• Must have experience with merger & acquisitions, and financial due diligence.
• History of relationships with private equity firms and their portfolio companies.
• Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills.
• Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, and maintain ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted leader of buy-side and sell-side due diligence/quality of engagement.
• Proactively engage with clients to understand business goals and objectives.
• Advise, implement and deliver solutions across all phases of the M&A lifecycle.
• Provide guidance and business recommendations to clients.
• Deliver business insight through review, analysis, and discussion.
• Manage cross-functional teams to deliver engagements and ensure profitability targets.
• Build relationships with private equity firms and portfolio companies to derive repeat business.
