Job summary

Applegreen USA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager run day-to-day operations at our travel plaza. This entry-level management role offers hands-on training in leadership, customer service, and store performance.

You’ll supervise non-management staff, coach shifts, ensure brand standards, manage cash, and resolve guest concerns while maintaining efficiency and a welcoming guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience managing quick service restaurant or similar operations.
• Proven leadership and ability to motivate a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to lift/push objects over 30 lbs.
• Flexible and open to varying schedules.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates, assign work, coach, and develop shift supervisors.
• Perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff during times of low morale.
• Maintain strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues in a timely fashion and ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain brand standards and store procedures for landlord relationships.
• Ensure restaurant looks clean, inviting, and on-brand.
• Ensure cash management is accurate and daily reports follow directives.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to sustain positive relationships.
• Keep inventory data accurate with spot checks.
