Applegreen USA Welcome Centers seeks an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager run daily operations at our travel plazas. You will supervise staff, drive service excellence, and uphold brand standards.

This entry-level management role offers hands-on leadership development, exposure to multi-brand retail operations, and opportunities to mentor teams while maintaining guest satisfaction and efficient store performance.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping people learn and grow the business.
• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen
• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations
• Flexible and open work schedule
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly.
• Provide entry-level managers with learning opportunities and judgement practice.
• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate objectives.
• Supervise non-management staff, assign work, coach shifts supervisors.
• Perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale.
• Ensure brand standards, store cleanliness, and cash handling compliance.
• Resolve customer needs and maintain positive relationships.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, conduct spot counts.
